JOB SATISFACTION AND EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE IN NATIONAL PENSION COMMISSION

    Abstract

    This study examined the effect of job satisfaction on employee performance at theNational Pension Commission. A survey research design was adopted, with primary data collected from 221 employees using structured questionnaires, supported by secondary data from relevant literature. The data were analysed using inferential statistical techniques.   The findings revealed that job satisfaction has a significant positive effect on employee performance, indicating that higher levels of job satisfaction are associated with improved performance. The study further established that job satisfaction is a strong predictor of employee performance within the organization. Based on these findings, the study recommends that management should prioritize policies and practices that enhance job satisfaction, such as improving working conditions, providing adequate incentives, and recognizing employee contributions, in order to boost employee performance and overall organizational effectiveness.
